Package bayesvl successfully upgraded to version 1.0.0

[ANNOUNCEMENT]

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to inform you that our homegrown statistical computing package, bayesvl, has been successfully upgraded to version 1.0.0.

Referring to the bayesvl should now become (APA) [1]:

The package bayesvl version 1.0.0 can now be downloaded directly from The Comprehensive R Archive Network (CRAN).

It has taken our team six full years to upgrade from v0.8.5 (May 24, 2019) to v1.0.0 (May 17, 2025). The package has also now been assigned a new DOI:10.32614/CRAN.package.bayesvl by the R Core Team.

All procedures and computing practices provided in the BMF book [2] remain valid, including installing bayesvl from Github.

In addition, the upgraded bayesvl book (produced by CRAN) can be accessed (and downloaded from) here [3] for your perusal.
